Synergies for Sustainability in Algeria : A Dynamic ARDL and KRLS Analysis of Renewable Energy and Green Growth

Abstract

This study examines Algeria's green economy and renewable energy sources. A dynamic link over time clarifies people's renewable energy consumption habits, suggesting that rising GDP and congruence with societal preferences may enhance the efficacy of the green economy. Between 2000 and 2021, dynamic ARDL and KRLS models were used to analyze Algeria's GDP per capita in relation to its consumption of renewable energy as a proportion of total energy usage. The results indicate a projected rise in Algeria's per capita GDP and renewable energy use over time. By disbursing payments, Algeria might potentially reduce its dependence on fossil fuels for consumer energy and encourage investment in renewable energy sources.
